Always wear gloves in designated EtBr/SYBR working area. IT IS IMPORTANT TO WEAR NITRILE GLOVES! DO NOT WEAR THE VINYL GLOVES!

Liquid EtBr SYBR waste containers are available under the sink and solid waste on the working bench. 

Consumables related to agarose gel electrophoresis are not common but ordered per group while equipment is shared. Also, a microwave and scale for gel preparation are available in this lab. 

In case of prestaining gel, nucleic acid stains are always added after melting of the agarose, microwave should be kept dye-free. 

Reserve before using.

TBE 1X or TBE 0.5X running buffer can be re-used but recommendation is to prepare fresh one at least once a week or after running 5-10 gels.
